Carpet Drying Sunshine Coast

Keeping Sunshine Coast Carpets Dry

We know what it's like to experience a flooding event which results in carpets getting soaked. But don't you worry, because we know exactly what to do.

Drying wet carpet after an incident is imperative to getting it back to its former condition. If the carpets stay wet, this can lead to mould growth and the carpet fibres rotting away.

If your carpets are saturated, they will need to be extracted first before the drying process can begin. We can also do this for you, so all you need to do is get in touch with us and we will handle everything else.

    Carpet Drying Sunshine Coast

PRO Carpet Cleaning is here to dry your wet carpets and get them back to normal again. If you have just experienced an emergency and your carpets are now wet then we are here to help.

    The Carpet Drying Process

    1: Water Removal

We start by getting rid of any water that has accumulated in the flooded area. This step may not always be needed, depending on how much water's present. Removing the standing water can make the clean-up process easier and faster.

We use commercial-grade extractors to help remove moisture from deep in the carpet fibres. This will leave your carpet damp instead of completely soaked, which will help it dry more quickly once we set up the drying equipment.

    2: Preparation

If possible, we can lift part of the carpet from the floor. This will significantly improve air circulation and reduce the chances of mould growth. It also allows for a check of the subfloor to ensure no moisture or contaminants are left behind that could cause issues.

    3: Inspection

We inspect the carpet padding if possible and see if removal is necessary. Whether or not to dispose of the padding depends on what type of water caused the damage.

If there is sewerage present, then the carpet must be removed and disposed of by another company.

    4: Set Up Equipment

We will now set up commercial dehumidifiers and air movers to dry your carpets. These will be left for about 24 hours to run continuously and remove as much moisture as possible from the carpet.

    5: Collect Equipment

We will return after speaking to you regarding how dry the carpets are and collect our equipment.

    6: Cleaning

We highly recommend that you get the affected area properly cleaned by us in order to destroy bacteria and odours that can lead to mould growth and possible further damage to the carpets.

Making Your Sunshine Coast Carpet Dry

If you are able to quickly assess the affected area before you contact us then we will be able to get a better understanding of what's required.

It's important to check if the padding has absorbed any contaminants or water that could pose health risks or cause odours as certain materials may not bounce back to their state or function after getting wet.

If there is a sewerage contamination, the carpet must be removed and disposed of, so you will likely not need our services.

If it's from another source of flooding such as rain water, an overflowing bathtub, leaky appliances, etc, then we can perform our carpet drying services for you.
